Here she is with Robert Merrill:

I saw her as Marzelline in Beethoven's Fidelio at the Met.

Digiti I think you should change your name to Grim Reaper.

Dear Digiti,

Thank you for sharing the video in which Roberta Peters performs. The duo are delightful, both sound-wise and visually!

This must have been performed many decades ago as Ms Peters is close to me in age and it is a long time ago since I looked so youthful, but sadly not so beautiful! (LOL).

I am sure that you don't deserve the title of "The Grim Reaper" as suggested by TMT, (jokingly, I hope!), but you certainly keep abreast of the music world and have a good knowledge of Who is Who and what is happening in this genre. Perhaps a life touching this , in your leisure moments, eh?----remembering your Russian horn interests, and frequent material from the N.Y. Metropolitan and other musical events on the East Coast.

Although I have a limited knowledge or inclination towards Opera I do like some---and this was very enjoyable.

Regards,

Polly.

Dear TMT I could have mentioned Patrice Munsel's death as well but that would be overkill lol  Pun intended.
