I love what he's done in that arena, so I can't call it a complete waste. However, there is definitely opportunity there to put a defining touch on a complete Beethoven cycle. I wonder how one would go about getting the contact info to Savall? Just did a quick Google search. His website is here and there's contact info on the page itself. While we're on the topic, I see Bruggen has a Beethoven Symphony Cycle out!!! Has anyone heard this??? If it's as good as his Beethoven Violin Concerto, then I'm willing to fork over big cash for it! Here's a link to this cycle, with samples: {Amazon.com}

I forgot again about the poll!
But to Bruggen, I've heard quite a lot of his Symphonies set a long time ago. My recollection was that the sound wasn't too hot and the performances rather mannered compared to his more recent Beethoven releases. If they've remastered them the edition will be of more interest.
