You took the words right out of my mouth, Sorin. I too am a Michael Haydn fan. I have his Turkish March in C Major as my cell phone ring tone.

Well all I can do is replace Paul Hindemith with Michael. Has anyone any problems with that? I would expect at least one Michael vote immediately though as a result, don't mention the absence of a composer unless you would vote for him if he was included.

there's another missing name: Marc-Antoine Charpentier
I have kept for him the place no. 10 in my list.

OK Marc-Antoine Charpentier replaces the contemporary composer Eliot Carter, so no great loss there. Johann Michael Haydn replaces Paul Hindemith, a composer of more significance but we do have quite a few in the list already from that period relative to the Classical era composers.

Please bear in mind these changes were only possible because the out-going composers in the corresponding alphabetical placing in the list had no votes. Had they any votes it would be hard cheese old boy for Marc and Michael.

So now I expect those who requested the new boys to vote for them!

So Rod, how does this work? I want to change my original vote for C.P.E. Bach to Johann Michael Haydn. I thought that once you have voted you can't change it (or are you the only one who can remove that C.P.E. Bach vote to a vote for J.M. Haydn?).

You can change your vote any time. Just tick the boxes you want and submit again.

I wonder if Sorin with be voting for Johann..? 8)

ImageImage So here's another dumb question. Since all I see is the list showing the current total votes, how do I go back in time to remove my vote for C.P.E. Bach and add Michael Haydn instead? Which magic buttons do I need to push? HELP!!! Image

No magic, you simply untick the box of the composer you no longer want to vote for (ie click on Bach's tick and it will disappear), then add a tick in Haydn's box. Then press the submit vote button again.

It looks like once you have voted you can't change your vote. I know you can if there is a change done to the poll but there are no tick boxes anymore. Not that I want to change my votes but just trying to confirm what Hollywood has said.

That is interesting as I have set the poll to allow vote changes. I can see the tick-boxes now even though I have voted. Make sure you are viewing the poll whilst logged-in, I know the tick boxes are not visible if you are logged-out.

I'll do some tests on this, but if worst comes to worst you can give me your passwords for me to make the changes for you. You can always change the password after if you like (but believe me I haven't the time nor inclination to snoop in members' profiles!).

You guys are quite right, your votes are fixed. I have written to the FF support team for information on this. It may be that I need to change your permissions, or we may have discovered a flaw in the v3 system. Either way they are usually quite good at solving such problems quickly, but I did say 'usually'...

I'll keep you informed.

Problem solved, it appears I hadn't set the right permissions for regular members. All sorted now, you should be able to make your changes. Let me know either way!

Can one of the mods let me know if they can change their vote?

Thanks Rod. It works now so I have changed that one vote of mine. Now at least I know I wasn't going crazy when I thought I was the only one who was unable to access the original tick box to change my vote. Danke, danke, danke!!! Image Image Image

Well it was all for the good as through this we discovered members' permissions from the old forum had not been carried over fully during the revamp.

It is fortunate for Sorin, who raised the issue of the 'other Haydn' being included, that you at least have voted for him! 8)
