Here is something you don't hear every day. The scherzo of the Archduke performed actually as it should be - at a tempo that is quicker than the usual moderate waltz that is made of it, plus the trio section is repeated.

Have a listen to the Scherzo performed by the Castle Trio on period instruments and let me know what you think...

Luigi Boccherini. Born February 19, 1743, died May 28, 1805. Born in Italy, lived in Spain and mostly composed there. There's a story about him that he composed a piece for King Charles, who disapproved of a passage in it and asked for it to be removed. Rather than remove the passage he doubled it, thereby displeasing the king and causing his dismissal.
